Columbus, New Mexico is rich in history, going back 1000 years to the time that the different Indian civilizations traveled from one community to another and passed through this area, to more recently when Pancho Villa raided Columbus in 1916. Today we are the border's best kept secret. We offer easy access to and from Mexico and some very significant tourist destinations south of the border. While you are here there is plenty to entertain you, spend time shopping and eating fine Mexican cuisine at the famous Pink Store in Palomas, Mexico (it's just three miles to the south of us), or meander through our historical walking tour, Pancho Villa State Park & Train Depot museums, and the old Columbus jail. All located just a stone’s throw away from the front door of the hotel.
